Hello, my name is Peter . I am 17 years old and life is nice. I live with my parents, Marcia and Patrick, and my dog, Lucy. I also have an older brother, Andrew, who is currently at college which means that I am now the focus of my parent’s attention, which can be quite overwhelming at times. But hey, I only have two more years of high school. I’ll make it through somehow.
The only extracurricular activity I participate in is the school’s theatre group Players. I enjoy acting quite a bit. It allows me to be free and weird in front of hundreds of people and they don’t care because they enjoy it so much. It is quite the liberating experience.
I have many interests, but my primary interests are music and comic books. Music has pretty much been a part of my life since I was a baby. I’m always listening to it and I can’t understand why some people are annoyed by it. It’s the only universal language. I don’t really have a favorite genre of music. Some days I’ll listen to Cat Stevens and Wilco, while the next day I may listen to Radiohead and Lauryn Hill. I would have to say though that my favorite artist is Elvis Costello. He writes incredibly simple music with the cleverest lyrics ever. He also can’t sing well, which doesn’t matter because it allows him to emote more. I’ve been playing guitar for 6 years and I hope to pursue a career in music. I know it’ll be hard, but if you really want to achieve something, you really have to go for it.
